Out-of-hours collection applies when you pick up or return the car outside office hours. Most companies charge a supplement, between €25 and €50 per movement, and some simply do not offer it.
It catches people out because it depends on your flight time, which you often cannot choose. A flight landing at 23:30 can turn into a €40 supplement.
If the company lets you drop keys in a box, bear in mind that you remain responsible for the vehicle until it is inspected, usually the following morning. It is worth photographing the car's condition when you leave it.
At Alicante and Valencia airports we operate 24 hours with no supplement, whatever time you land. At the Calpe office and for door deliveries our hours are 9:15 to 19:00; if you need something outside that window, ask and we will find a way.
