High season on the Costa Blanca concentrates demand into July and August, with smaller peaks at Easter, the May bank holidays and the Christmas weeks. In those periods hire prices can double compared with February.
It is not only about the rate: the first thing to go is availability in specific categories. Automatics, seven-seat SUVs and large vans disappear weeks before everything else. Book late and you do not just pay more — you end up without the vehicle you needed.
For July and August, two or three months ahead if you need something specific. If your rate allows free cancellation, booking early has no downside: you lock in the vehicle and the price, and you can cancel if plans change.
